And I Don't Believe He Brought Me This Far to Leave Me

When you hear from God, you will know its God.  His voice is distinct. His presence powerful.  His instructions may seem impossible, BUT God, God specializes in making the impossible, possible!

We often focus on the blessings and not the lessons.  Abraham was blessed but not without great sacrifice.  He gave up everything to follow the Call God had on his life.  Abraham left his country, left his family, and traveled to an unfamiliar place to find a new nation.

You can imagine Abraham wanted to give up.  He most likely called for his father, and had to think about turning back.  However, God's promise

is what Abraham focused on.

God may not be calling you to leave your country, but he maybe calling you to start a ministry, write a book, or create a practice.  Your journey may consist of consecutive meetings, sleepless nights, or countless hours of counting words.  You will feel alone but you are not alone.  God did not call you to forsake you, God called you and he will lead you to your destiny.

Philippines 3:14 reminds us to "press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."  That goal not fame or fortune is what kept Abraham in God's favor.

Today, we live in a society that wants instant success, and we measure success with material things, statistics, and most of all money.  Focusing on God on the other hand and the great commission is the key to true success.

The Blessings of Abraham was not in inheriting the land but the belief in God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly what you can hope for or imagine according to his power that works in us.  That belief is the passion that I want to encourage you to use to overcome any obstacle that stands in the way of God's promise because faith with works is destiny.
