ABOUT
RICK DORN is a singer, songwriter, and vocal producer with a heart and passion for worship. A native of Southern California and graduate of the Los Angeles Film and Recording School, Rick is experienced in all facets of music production and recording, owning and operating Phatt Trax of LA recording studio. A natural, both in and out of the booth, he regularly leads worship services to congregations of over 10,000.
Honing his craft for years, Rick has always been progressive when it comes to reaching new people with his music. He has opened for Gospel greats Fred Hammond, Karen Clark Sheard, Pastor Shirley Caesar, and CeCe Winans, to name a few. Now the stage is set for Rick to headline as he releases his new music via his own independent recording company, Royalti Music Group.
His first offering, “A Merry Christmas,” garnered the attention of Netflix and is featured in the original Netflix film, “Holiday Rush” starring La La Anthony, Romany Malco, and Deon Cole. The song is also on the movie soundtrack with John Legend, Ne-Yo, and Darlene Love. Additionally, the song is featured in the holiday film "A Miracle Before Christmas," which stars Romeo Miller, LeToya Luckett, and Keith David and notably included on the accompanying soundtrack. His debut single, “Great Things," released in 2020, hit top 50 on Billboard charts and the follow-up singles, "It's Done" and “Got A Feelin’” garnered great success across national air waves.
The inspirational and soulful sounds of Rick Dorn are always authentic and heartfelt. Currently, a diabetic awaiting a kidney transplant, Rick has dialysis treatments weekly; yet he masterfully pens uplifting and encouraging songs that leave listeners filled with joy and hope. Rick is currently working on new material for his next project and recently released a focus single entitled “Power.”
